Jane Teresa Anderson BSc Hons is a dream analyst, dream therapist, author, podcast host, and mentor, living in Hobart, Australia.
Published by Hachette, Little Brown (Piatkus), Random House, and Harper Collins, Jane Teresa Anderson is the author of seven books about dreams and dreaming, and her debut fiction novel, Ninth Life.
With an Honours degree in Zoology specialising in developmental neurobiology from the University of Glasgow, (graduating as Jane Teresa Newton), Jane Teresa has been researching dreams since 1992, and developing and teaching dream alchemy practices (exercises) that shift perspective and reprogram unconscious limiting beliefs.
Jane Teresa’s approach to dream analysis, dream therapy, and dream alchemy is based on her independent research and on deep work with clients since 1992.
Jane Teresa has been teaching and training students in dream interpretation, dream alchemy, and professional dream therapy for more than 20 years. When she created The Dream Academy, she updated, extended, and developed her original courses to make them easily accessible to students throughout the world who want to use her methods in their personal lives or in private practice.
She hosts a podcast, The Dream Show with Jane Teresa Anderson, where she analyses guests’ dreams and shares dream interpretation tips and insights. The Dream Show with Jane Teresa Anderson celebrated 16 years (and 290 episodes) in May 2025. It continues to grow at the rate of one episode every four weeks plus an Interlude ep between guest episodes.
